Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) shares ROSE 1.94% to $280.94 following the unveiling of its Tomahawk Ultra Ethernet switch, a breakthrough for AI and high-performance computing networks. The new switch delivers 51.2 Tbps throughput with 250 ns latency, engineered for lossless data transmission in synchronized environments.

The Tomahawk Ultra's architecture supports 77 billion packets per second while reducing Ethernet header overhead to 10 bytes—a technical leap for real-time AI training workloads. After-hours trading saw a modest correction to $279.92, reflecting typical profit-taking after a product announcement.
